Butterfly Lady

“She liked still more the feeling that when its beautiful old walls shut her in no one knew where she was. It seemed almost like being shut out in some fairy place."

‘The garden of love’ series is inspired by my love for the book ‘The secret garden’ which is my absolute favorite childrens book! The secret overgrown garden with dormant rosebushes and vines captures my imagination and I see it coming to life with flowers, birds and butterflies, becoming a shelter for my dreamy girls to hide from real life…

This butterfly lady is painted on a wooden cradled panel . The edges are painted in black. She does not have to be framed but she could, if you prefer. The cradled panel is wired and ready to hang upon arrival. The edges are kept blank. The painting is signed on the front.
