I'm Marina, your guide toCold Wax Painting
I'm so happy you found your way to my little corner of the internet. I'm a Dutch artist living in the South of France with my family and our lovely dog, Tessa.
For many years my work has centered around painting with cold wax and oils, a medium that completely changed the way I paint. I love building layers, scraping paint, and discovering what appears on the surface.
These days I'm also exploring textured painting with acrylics and mixed media, always with the same curiosity for layers, marks, and unexpected discoveries.
My studio is surrounded by olive trees and lavender fields, and I often find inspiration in old weathered walls and faded shutters. In my figurative paintings, I like to leave things a little loose and dreamy, so there is space for the viewer to imagine their own story.
Whether you're here for my paintings or my classes, I hope you enjoy exploring.
