We work with cold wax and oils, but also acrylics, mixed media, collage, mark-making, and layered materials because texture is about curiosity, not one product.

Meet your teacher
I'm Marina, and I'll guide you on your creative painting journey
I'm deeply passionate about painting with cold wax, especially in oils, and I also love exploring texture through acrylics, mixed media, collage, mark-making, and layered materials.
I created The Texture Lab as a calm, encouraging space where we can paint, experiment, and keep growing together, one layer at a time.
And when you feel unsure, stuck, or in need of feedback on a work in progress, you can reach out to me directly.
My mantra is: explore, experiment, and play.
Why did I create The Texture Lab?
I've been creating classes for years, and while I love it, I started to miss something…
The connection. The moment where I can see how someone is progressing, where they get stuck, and where they need a bit of encouragement to keep going.
I do receive emails and works in progress, but I know that many people are painting on their own. And I don't love that thought, because this way of painting, with layers and texture, takes time to understand.
It's easy to feel unsure, to get stuck, or to stop too soon.
I found myself really craving that feeling of being in the studio together, sharing the process, encouraging each other, and growing step by step.
And that's exactly why I'm creating The Texture Lab.
