Building the Texture
We mix Powerwax (or Heavy Gel Medium) into the acrylics and build rich, textured base layers. This is the foundation, it doesn't look like much yet, but it's where the magic begins.
Paint gorgeous layered flowers with texture, colour, and joy.
Join me in this free class and learn how to create textured floral paintings using Powerwax or any heavy gel medium. Easy, playful, and beginner friendly.
I’ll guide you step by step through a beautiful abstract flower painting using the layering technique and negative painting for gorgeous textures.
No experience needed, no pressure, just time to play.
Start anytime, work at your own pace, and enjoy lifetime access. This is a self-guided class, but you can always reach out by email with questions.
Three simple stages, with everything explained as we go.

We mix Powerwax (or Heavy Gel Medium) into the acrylics and build rich, textured base layers. This is the foundation, it doesn't look like much yet, but it's where the magic begins.

We add layers of beautiful colour, building depth and interest. Each layer responds to the one before, and the painting starts to come alive.

Using negative painting, we bring the flowers forward from the background. No drawing needed, the shapes emerge naturally from the layers you've already built.

Artist & instructor
I’m Marina, a Dutch professional artist living in the south of France. I created this free lesson because painting with cold wax medium changed everything for me. Then I discovered I could do the same with acrylics, and I love sharing my findings with you. Whether you’re a complete beginner or you’ve been painting for years, join me.

100%! No credit card, no hidden costs. I made this lesson as a gift because I believe everyone deserves to experience the joy of painting. It's yours to keep forever.
Not at all. I'll walk you through every single step. If you can spread butter on toast, you can work with Powerwax. Seriously, just come as you are.
Yes, this class is designed specifically for acrylics with Powerwax, so everything is geared to water-based materials and fast drying time.
The basics: acrylic paints, Powerwax, a few brushes, a palette knife, and a canvas or panel. I'll give you the full supply list inside the lesson, nothing fancy or expensive needed.
Forever. Once you're in, the lessons are yours for life. Come back whenever you want, many students tell me they rewatch the demo every time they paint flowers.
