New to texture? I’ll help you find a comfortable place to begin.
How does the free week work?
New members can try monthly Studio free for seven days. You can explore every Mini Class, the magazine, creative projects and Material Lab. Full Classes and private sessions are not part of this trial. Card or PayPal details are required at checkout. After seven days, Studio renews automatically at $19/month until cancelled. Cancel before the trial ends and you won’t be charged. Gold, Inner Circle and yearly memberships are paid options without a free trial.
I’m new to texture. Will I know where to start?
Yes. Suggested learning paths help you choose a class that suits where you are now. Start with one project, pause the recordings whenever you need, and take your time. You don’t have to work through the whole library.
Do I need oils and cold wax, or can I use acrylics?
Choose the projects and materials you enjoy; you don’t need supplies for both. For oils projects, you’ll need oil paints and cold wax medium. For textured acrylics, you’ll need acrylic paints and a suitable acrylic texture medium. You’ll see Powerwax in some recordings; check each project’s supply guidance for suitable alternatives before shopping. Not every class is demonstrated in both mediums.
How can I ask questions or get feedback?
Every membership includes personal feedback from me by email. Send me your painting and your questions, and I’ll help you see what to try next as you develop your skills and your own style. You can also share your work with the community and send questions for the monthly recorded Studio Q&A. Inner Circle adds a private 30-minute session with me each month and priority replies on questions and feedback.
Do we have to paint at the same time?
No. The lessons and monthly Studio Q&A are recorded, so you can watch and paint when it suits you. There’s no deadline to finish each project and no catching up to do. The private monthly session is a separate Inner Circle benefit.
What happens if I cancel?
You can cancel your next renewal at any time. Membership access continues until the end of your paid period. Classes you bought separately with lifetime access remain yours. Existing founding membership rates stay unchanged while that membership continues.
